The attention given to a massive asteroid or technological object approaching Earth, such as Oumuamua or 3I/ATLAS is almost laughable. True spacecraft can travel enormous distances in a split second because their technology has nothing to do with traversing space in conventional ways. These objects floating out in space that are visible to the mainstream scientists and media are ways to present this subject in a palatable way to the general public, to “ease them in”. The reality, however, is far more complex.
