Even experiencing itself is an experience, as is witnessing. There is no &#8220;experiencer,&#8221; and there is no witness. There is consciousness. The entity &#8220;I&#8221; is an experience. Consciousness is the underlying source of experience.<\/p><p>&#8220;I Am&#8221; is what is called &#8220;The Son of God&#8221; or the &#8220;Christ Consciousness&#8221; in the Christian tradition.<\/p><p>Picture this:<\/p><p>The guy says something along the lines of &#8220;I am\u2014the son of god.&#8221; People hear it and associate that notion with the guy&#8217;s body and personality; the rest is history. His actual teaching was lost on the spot.
